![]() Note: I've tried solutions (Code::blocks, Eclipse) that use the same system as Visual Studio, and I've tried using Notepad++ and command line, but I need debugging and want autoformatting. Can anyone suggest an IDE that can open single files and run then? Also, if there is anyone else practicing algorithms like this, can they share which IDE they use and how? Help would be really appreciated here! I also do not want to install a compiler and compile code manually, as I want/need debugging and auto-formatting is pretty handy as well. I've tried excluding files in Visual Studio, but I find that cumbersome when I want to refer back to a previous algorithm and I have to include it again. However, I find that too much work and too complicated what I want is an IDE that can open a single C++ file and run it as a project without having to create new projects or whatnot. ![]() Most of the solutions only require one file therefore, in Visual Studio, I create a new project for every file, and I switch between solutions for different rounds and competitions. ![]() I am currently practicing algorithms in C++ by solving problems from Google Code Jam, Topcoder, Codeforces, etc.
